I missed this performance. Ironically, I was about 25 blocks away from the Met that day, seeing Beauty and Beast on a school trip. (Needless to say, the singing was no where near as good!) So close, and yet so very far away from the Met. I'm so glad you enjoyed it though- perhaps I need to listen to Miss Fleming singing Handel. If you've come to possibly like her, maybe I will too.
