You'll forgive me my Opera Chic moment. I've just had this brief, mobile report from opening night of Victorian Opera's L'elisir d'amore.
"Antoinette is teh hawtness"
And really, what else do you need to know?

I believe it means Antoinette Halloran was a remarkably fine Adina.
It's one of those things the young people of today say. Urban Dictionary will explain better than I can:

It's sort of ironic. The message didn't come from a Young Person of Today.

And yet, whenever the wonderful Ms. Halloran is interviewed, she always talks about how she doesn't like singing the soubrette roles. In a recent interview I read somewhere, she even seemed to be expressing concerns about the role of Adina. Fair enough, she is a wonderfully full lyric soprano... but her presence lends itself to making the soubrette repertoire interesting, which is a gift in itself.
Yet, having seen her live but a few times, I still can't imagine her being anything less than wonderful.
