It's been mentioned in the comments for the post below, so I'll take this opportunity to point out, in case you've not seen it, the latest article about Opera Australia's quest for an Artistic Director. It makes quite a few additions to the list of potential names, including Richard Gill, Kynan Johns, Brad Cohen, Noel Staunton, Peter Coleman-Wright, Graham Pushee, Neil Armfield, Richard Mills, Timothy Calnin, Michael Cantor, Paul Grabowsky, Jonathan Mills, Lyndon Terracini, Simon Phillips, Barrie Kosky and Lindy Hume. All of whom make some kind of sense, some rather more than others.

Peter Coleman-Wright?! Wow, thats someone I really never considered for Artistic Director! Does he have any Artistic admin experience? Personally I would love to see either Richard Gill or Neil Armfield, but a new direction is just as needed..

Graham Pushee, Neil Armfield or Lindy Hume would make me happy. Lord help the company, and all Australian opera lovers if they appoint Barrie Kosky, could they be that stupid? Anyway I think luckily he has the Komische Oper in Berlin to run...
What about Graeme Murphy as a suggestion? He has delivered some very high quality productions for Opera Australia in the past, Turandot, Salome, The Trojans...
