At first I thought it was strange to be using a German cast in Hamburg - how would they capture the 'Aussie' humour etc. But then I realise the same line of argument could be used about anything (non English Grimes.. non Italian Tosca.. non Viennese Fledermaus - I can't talk on that one!!) and if it is going to be an internationally recognised work, it has to be set free to be that. Hopefully I can try and see it there, should be very different I imagine.
